Discipleship Explored Study Group

From next Wednesday (25th July), we will run a Discipleship Explored study group.

Discipleship Explored is an eight-session journey through Paul’s letter to the Philippians and “is ideal for believers at any stage of the Christian life. It features brand-new documentary-style films and inspiring real-life stories from around the world. It goes beyond simply teaching the right things to do – go to church, pray, read the Bible, share the gospel – and focuses on what truly drives discipleship: the love of Christ. The greatest love anyone can ever know.” You can find out more about Discipleship Explored by clicking on the following link – Discipleship Explored

Format will be meet at church on Wednesday evenings, start the study at 5:30, share a bring-a-plate dinner together around 6:15pm, leave as you need to.

ALL WELCOME! If you are at all interested, we would love to see you there!

Please contact Pastor Ben if you have any questions or are interested in joining the study group. (There is a handbook that goes with the course that costs $5).

Summer Holiday Bible Studies

Summer-Holiday-Bible-Studies-2018

Would you like to get a better understanding of what the Bible is, what’s in it and how it all fits together? Then join us Would you like to get a better understanding of what the Bible is, what’s in it and how it all fits together? Then join us Would you like to get a better understanding of what the Bible is, what’s in it and how it all fits together? Then join us over the next 3 Thursday nights (11th, 18th & 25th Jan) we will run Summer Holiday Bible Studies at the church. It will be a good chance for fellowship with others around the word in the time of year when most of our regular Bible Studies and small groups are not running.

The plan is to share a light dinner at 6pm. Pastor Ben will bring something along, but if you could also bring something else along to share, that would be great.
Then from about 6:30 we will watch videos from a new series called ‘Clarifying the Bible’ (http://clarifyingthebible.com/) for about 40mins, which gives a basic framework and storyline of the Bible, explaining what’s in the Bible as a whole and how it all fits together.
Then we will have a brief discussion, then finish the study and have supper around 7:30 if people would like to stay around for that.

You and anyone you know who might be interested are very welcome, whether you can only make one of the nights or all of them. Please let Pastor Ben know if you’re thinking of coming for an idea of numbers.

If you would like to come, we recommend buying the book for yourselves as you will likely get the most out of the study series that way. Koorong is not stocking it as yet, but you can find a good price for the book at https://booko.com.au/9781632961471/Clarifying-the-Bible.

We hope this will be a good time of fellowship and a good time to get to know the Bible better together. Hope to see you there.
